Best Classes in Lineage 2 Interlude: Solo, Party and PvP

Lineage 2 Wiki & Guides

Which class to play on an Interlude server? An overview of all archetypes — tanks, fighters, archers, mages, summoners, healers, buffers and dwarves — with the best picks for solo farming, parties and PvP.

Interlude has more than thirty third-profession classes, and the “best” one depends on how you play. Below are the archetypes, their strengths and the classes players usually recommend for solo farming, party play and PvP. Exact balance can differ from server to server, so always check the server’s own changes.

Quick picks

Goal Popular choices
Easy solo farming Necromancer / Soultaker, summoners (Arcana Lord, Elemental Master, Spectral Master), Destroyer / Titan
Top damage in PvP Archmage, Mystic Muse, Storm Screamer, Adventurer, Ghost Hunter, Sagittarius
Always wanted in a party Cardinal, Hierophant, Doomcryer, Sword Muse, Spectral Dancer
Economy and adena Bounty Hunter / Fortune Seeker (spoil), Warsmith / Maestro (craft)

Tanks

Phoenix Knight, Hell Knight, Eva’s Templar, Shillien Templar. High defense, aggro skills and party protection. Tanks are essential for raid bosses and sieges but level slower alone. Choose a tank if you enjoy leading fights and playing in a constant party.

Melee fighters

Duelist, Dreadnought, Titan, Grand Khavatari. Strong and straightforward. Titan (Destroyer) is a classic solo farmer with huge damage when low on HP; Dreadnought shines in mass PvP with area attacks; Duelist deals steady single-target damage; Grand Khavatari (Tyrant) is fast and aggressive.

Daggers

Adventurer, Wind Rider, Ghost Hunter. Critical hits from behind, stealth and burst damage. Daggers are feared in PvP and Olympiad but require good gear and skill.

Archers

Sagittarius, Moonlight Sentinel, Ghost Sentinel. Long range and high damage, great for kiting, sieges and PvP. They need arrows and good positioning.

Mages (nukers)

Archmage, Mystic Muse, Storm Screamer, Soultaker. The strongest area and single-target magic damage. Archmage and Storm Screamer are PvP favorites; Soultaker (Necromancer) combines curses, summons and a corpse-based toolkit that makes solo farming comfortable.

Summoners

Arcana Lord, Elemental Master, Spectral Master. The summon tanks and deals damage while you heal and support it. Summoners are among the easiest classes for solo leveling, which makes them a popular first character.

Healers and buffers

Cardinal, Eva’s Saint, Shillien Saint, Hierophant, Doomcryer, Dominator, Sword Muse, Spectral Dancer. Support classes are the heart of every party and clan. Cardinal is the main healer; Hierophant, Doomcryer and Dominator give powerful buffs; Sword Muse and Spectral Dancer provide songs and dances. Solo leveling is harder, but a good support is never without a party.

Dwarves

Fortune Seeker (Bounty Hunter) and Maestro (Warsmith). Spoil and craft drive the whole economy on low and mid rates. A dwarf is often the richest character on the server and a great second window.

How to choose

  • Playing alone and have little time → summoner, Necromancer or Titan.
  • Love PvP → mage or dagger.
  • Playing with friends → healer, buffer or tank.
  • Want adena → dwarf as a main or second character.
